| Dr. Kevin J. Kukoleck is The New Center’s Executive Director and Director of Training. He is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who has extensive experience working with people with various disabling conditions. As a person with a disability himself, Dr. Kukoleck brings a unique perspective to his Clinical Health Psychology work. His use of a wheelchair enables him to make a quick therapeutic alliance with his clients who are struggling to cope with their own disabilities. His other clinical areas of interest include cross-cultural counseling, gerontology, and working with sexual minorities. Dr. Kukoleck has over ten years teaching experience in several colleges and universities. He has been an invited guest lecturer at prestigious institutions such as Case Western Reserve University and the University of Chicago. He has been part of the leadership of the American Society on Aging for the past 14 years and is a past president of the Association of the Development of the Person-Centered Approach. |
